I believe in the inherent ability for us to heal ourselves, through the trusting relationship we build together in therapy, no matter how deeply hurt or ignored we have been in the past.

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist.  I work with people at all stages of life, from diverse backgrounds, who want to understand themselves better.  I offer a space for you to be listened to, in confidence, so you can work through your concerns, thoughts and feelings, at your own pace.

Psychotherapy can help with many issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem and feeling overwhelmed or depressed.  It can also help explore relationship difficulties, post-traumatic symptoms, historical childhood sexual abuse, unhelpful patterns of behaviour.  Which, if left unspoken, can lead to depression, suicidal thoughts, feeling isolated, self-harm, feeling numb, self-medicating and addiction.

Counselling offers a safe and confidential space for exploring these issues.  A commitment to weekly sessions creates trust over time and allows our feelings and thoughts to unfold gradually.

“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives. ….. the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going on inside ourselves.”
